WHAT IS YOUR TRAINING METHODOLOGY?

Our training program is based on techniques from renowned classical horsemen such as George Morris, Carl Hester, and Bernie Traurig. At ASE, our goal is to ensure proper engagement, movement, and suppleness through effective and correct riding techniques, without the use of heavier gimmicks or equipment. Our no rush philosophy makes sure that there are no holes left in our horse’s education and help’s build confident and trusting equine’s! Although, we primarily train hunter, jumper, and equitation horse’s, dressage is the foundation of all our training programs and we strive to have our horse’s educated atleast through second level dressage to ensure a strong flat work foundation.

WHAT MAKES ASE UNIQUE?

ASE is unique in the way that we combine classical training methods with the knowledge of equine anatomy and biomechanics to ensure peak performance and health of our four legged athletes!

Aside from biomechanics, very rarely do you see many trainers utilize the old European training technique of long lining, which is mostly known for its use in training the Lippizaner’s within the famous Spanish Riding School! Long-lining enables the handler to teach forward movement, steering, and straightness – all without the added weight and complications that a rider can bring to the equation. It allows horses to understand aids in a very simple manner, and can be an extremely useful tool when starting young horses under saddle.
